Senior Java Software Engineer

They are seeking a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to join their new team in a collaborative, tech-driven environment focused on cutting-edge projects and code development. Key Responsibilities: Lead software development teams as a senior technical leader, ideally in IoT applications built with Java and AWS tools. Work in a role similar to IoT/Java/Smart Device Applications within a software or mixed hardware-software company. Utilize core Java, IoT software applications, and AWS IoT tools such as Greengrass, IoT Core, IoT Events, and Device Manager. Preferably have experience with AWS CI/CD tools and/or Terraform. Qualifications: Experience in smart-IOT applications. In terms of smart-IoT devices, ideally virtual assistant type devices (like amazon alexa) or another type of iot-smart device. 5- 7 years of experience in Java and SQL. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Proven experience in a similar hands-on technical leadership role, particularly in healthcare software, with knowledge of HIPAA, HL7, or related applications being advantageous. Healthcare industry experience. Would be a plus. Experience mentoring and coaching software engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the development process. Demonstrated ability to take ownership as the technical leader for the creation, setup, and ongoing maintenance of a high-volume, high-availability cloud-based multi-platform site. Preferred Skills: Experience with TypeScript and React. Proficiency in PostgreSQL databases. Familiarity with AWS GenAI.
