Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist I Job Specialty: Electrophysiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour days Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Completion of 2 years of training at an approved school of radiologic technology License: IEMA licensure, ARRT registered Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association Must-Have: - The knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - At least 2 years of experience. Job Description: - Assist physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. - Prepare examination areas and position patients for procedures. - Operate complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines. - Assist physicians as necessary by passing materials and taking exposures as directed. - Demonstrate the capability to assist in various procedures involving electrophysiology.
