Manager - Mobile Applications

Key Responsibilities : - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mobile engineers (Android and/or iOS). - Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and professional growth. - Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members. - Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members. - Oversee the full lifecycle of mobile application development, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance. - Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) throughout the development process. - Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation. - Drive the development of innovative and user-friendly mobile applications with a focus on customer experience. - Ensure the quality and performance of all mobile applications. - Stay abreast of the latest mobile technologies, trends, and best practices. - Provide technical guidance and support to the development team. - Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mobile application development. - Ensure compliance with all relevant mobile device security policies and standards. - Implement security measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access to applications. - Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. - Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. - Monitor project progress and identify and mitigate potential risks. - Communicate project status and any roadblocks to stakeholders effectively. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, UX designers, and other IT teams. - Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Represent the mobile engineering team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives. - Contribute to the development of the overall mobile technology strategy for the company. - Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools that can improve mobile application development. - Stay informed about industry trends and competitive : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 6 years of experience in mobile application development (Android and/or iOS). - 5 years of experience managing and leading software engineering teams. - Strong experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Proven ability to lead and mentor software engineers. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with mobile application security best practices. - Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools is a plus.
