Calypso Developer

We are looking for an experienced Calypso Developer to design, develop, and maintain Calypso configurations, workflows, and integrations to optimize trading and risk management activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Calypso, Java, and scripting languages, along with a deep understanding of financial markets and capital markets technology. Roles and Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain Calypso configurations, workflows, and functionalities to automate business processes and optimize trading activities. - Analyze and translate complex financial instruments into robust Calypso configurations. - Utilize scripting languages such as Python and VBA to automate tasks and create custom functionalities. - Develop and implement interfaces with external systems (e.g., market data feeds, risk management tools) for seamless data flow and integration. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Calypso platforms code quality and performance. - Work on Calypso modules such as Front Office (FO), Back Office (BO), Clearing, and other trade lifecycle Collaborate with business users, vendors, and IT teams to analyze requirements and develop solutions. - Optimize Calypso performance and ensure adherence to best coding practices. - Stay up to date with Calypso upgrades and financial market trends. Skills and Qualifications : - 5-6 years of experience in software development with a focus on financial applications. - Strong expertise in Calypso (v15 and above), including configuration tools, workflows, and trade processing. - Proficiency in Java (7 and above), J2EE, Spring, Shell scripting, Python. - Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline building, and maintenance (Jenkins, Ansible). - Strong database skills in Oracle, SQL Server, with hands-on experience in writing SQL queries. - Experience integrating Calypso with external systems using APIs or other integration methods. - Exposure to version control tools such as GIT, Stash, IBM RTC. - Strong understanding of capital markets terminology and processes. - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with high attention to Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
