As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team in Cation Pune. Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, working with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Stack. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building data pipelines, processing large datasets, and optimizing cloud-based architectures. As part of our growing team, you will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data solutions to support our business objectives. Key Responsibilities : - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives. - Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Dataproc, and Pub/Sub to implement efficient data architectures. - Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources to GCP data storage systems. - Implement and optimize data models for performance and scalability. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, performance, and data quality. - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and quality for advanced analytics and reporting. - Automate and streamline repetitive tasks in data management and processing. - Ensure data security, governance, and compliance requirements are met across all data pipelines and platforms. - Continuously explore and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies in GCP to improve the data engineering process. Technical Skills & Experience Required : - Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform services, including but not limited to : 1. BigQuery (for data warehousing and analytics). 2. Cloud Storage (for data storage). 3. Dataflow (for stream and batch processing). 4. Pub/Sub (for real-time messaging). 5. Cloud Dataproc (for distributed data processing). 6. Cloud Functions (for serverless event-driven architecture). - Strong knowledge of building scalable and efficient ETL data pipelines, with expertise in frameworks like Apache Beam (used in GCP Dataflow). - Solid experience in writing complex SQL queries and data modeling in cloud data warehouses like BigQuery. - Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for scripting and automating data tasks. - Experience integrating data from multiple sources (e., APIs, third-party services, databases) and automating data workflows. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git for collaborative development. - Experience implementing data quality checks and monitoring the health of data pipelines. - Knowledge of best practices for securing data and ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy regulations in cloud environments. Optional (Nice to Have) : - Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for containerized application management. - Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems for real-time data streaming. - Knowledge of Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager for infrastructure automation. Soft Skills : - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams. - Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
