Automation Test Engineer - Selenium/Playwright Testing

Job Description : We are hiring experienced Automation Testing Engineers to join our team at a Fortune IT Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality engineering with a focus on test automation. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated testing frameworks and solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications. Key Responsibilities : Test Automation : - Design, develop, and implement robust automation testing frameworks using industry-leading tools like Selenium or Playwright. Scripting and Development : - Create and maintain automation scripts using Java, JavaScript, or other scripting languages like VB Script. Tool Integration : - Integrate test automation tools with test management tools (e.g, HP ALM, JIRA). - Integrate test automation workflows with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to streamline deployment pipelines. Testing Lifecycle Management : - Contribute to all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) across methodologies such as waterfall, agile, and DevOps. Process and Metrics : - Establish and follow standardized test automation processes and track quality metrics to measure success. Collaboration : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive testing coverage. Communication : - Provide clear, concise, and actionable test results and feedback to stakeholders, leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications : Experience : - A minimum of 5 years in software quality engineering. - At least 4 years as a Test Automation Analyst/Engineer with hands-on expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks. Technical Skills : - Test Automation Tools : Proficiency in Selenium and/or Playwright. - Programming and Scripting Languages : Strong knowledge of Java and scripting languages like JavaScript or VB Script. - Framework Development : Expertise in designing and developing test automation frameworks. - Tool Integration : Experience integrating test automation tools with test management tools (e.g, HP ALM, JIRA) and CI/CD tools (e., Jenkins). Process Knowledge : - Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test automation processes, and quality metrics.
