Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Palliative Medicine in New York

Job Title: Hospice Physician Job Specialty: Hospice Job Duration: 13 months Shift: 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: New York State License required Certifications: BLS, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Must-Have: Local provider required Job Description: - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, review cases for hospice eligibility, and provide guidance and recommendations to nurses in the field. - Perform home visits for face-to-face encounters and symptom management as scheduled, averaging 0-2 visits per day. - Use EPIC – Comfort/Hospice Application for documentation. - Cover call schedules with an average of one weeknight per week from 4pm to 8am, and one in four or five weekends from Friday 4pm to Monday 8am. - Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine. - Preferred but not required: Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Geriatrics fellowship training.
