Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Hematology and Oncology in New York

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Hematology Oncology Job Duration: Permanent Shift: Days, Monday-Friday, with 1:5 weekends and approximately 1:5 weeknights Guaranteed Hours: 40-hour work week Experience: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology License: New York State License (or in the process of obtaining) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA Must-Have: Board Certification in Internal Medicine Job Description: - Join a full-time Hematologist Oncologist position to serve a well-established Cancer Care program. - Engage in 100% hospital-employed practice with access to tumor boards and grand rounds. - Treat a wide range of cancers with access to high-quality surgical services, from breast to thoracic to hepatobiliary/pancreatic care. - Receive strong support from advanced practice providers in both inpatient and outpatient settings. - Work in a multi-site practice with two locations situated on hospital campuses. - Participate in a comprehensive cancer program that includes Hematology Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and a full suite of surgical and radiologic services. - Outpatient clinics are located on a hospital campus. - Maintain a 50/50 focus on Hematology and Oncology, providing both types of care. - Be part of a team with 45 full-time Radiation Oncology physicians and 5 advanced practice providers on site. - Handle an average of 20-30 patients per day in an outpatient setting, and 15-20 patients per day in an inpatient setting within a 440-bed community hospital. - Electronic Medical Records system used: Epic - Opportunities open to H-1B and O-1 visa candidates, but not to J-1 waivers. - Enjoy excellent benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid malpractice with tail coverage, and a generous relocation allowance. - Access to a retirement plan with employer match and a CME allowance.
