Job Title: Retail Pharmacist Job Specialty: Ambulatory Pharmacy Administration Job Duration: 13 months Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Most recent/current retail pharmacy experience (e.g., CVS, Walgreens, etc.) required. License: Pharmacist License Certifications: Capability to administer injectables/vaccines Must-Have: Ability to perform physical/working requirements within a pharmacy/delivery area Job Description: - Provide optimal pharmacy service to patients and other healthcare professionals by designing, recommending, monitoring, evaluating, and documenting patient and age-specific pharmacotherapy. - Demonstrate an awareness of patient and employee confidentiality and safety when carrying out daily responsibilities. - Verify, prepare, and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure positive outcomes of drug therapies and compliance with national and system policies and procedures. - Provide concise, applicable, and timely responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients. - Participate in the management of medical emergencies. - Ensure adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines. - Manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities. - Supervise and direct the activities of pharmacy technicians.
