DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Role Introduction : We are seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator with in-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hands-on experience in cloud security. The ideal candidate will manage our cloud infrastructure, ensure robust security measures, and support our ongoing cloud operations. Responsibilities : Cloud Infrastructure Management : - Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. - Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage, and networking resources. - Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications. Security and Compliance : - Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and policies. - Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards (e., ISO, SOC 2). - Manage access controls, and identity management, and ensure data protection and privacy. - Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats in a timely manner. - Maintaining & preparing records for ISO, SOC 2 certifications. Automation and Scripting : - Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. - Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Monitoring and Troubleshooting : - Implement monitoring solutions to track cloud performance and availability. - Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues and incidents. - Optimize resource utilization and cost management through continuous monitoring and analysis. Collaboration and Support : - Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to support cloud-based applications and services. - Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on cloud-related issues. - Provide details and answers to client security questionnaires. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 2 to 6 years of experience in cloud administration, preferably with GCP. - Proven hands-on experience in cloud security, including implementing security controls and responding to incidents. - Proficiency with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. - Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages. - Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. - Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e., ISO 27001, SOC 2). - GCP certifications (e., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer) are highly desirable. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to manage client security questionnaires and communication record creation for ISO/SOC2 certifications. - Experience with other cloud platforms (e., AWS, Azure). - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with network security, firewalls, and VPNs (ref:hirist.tech)
