Infrastructure Manager - Google Cloud Platform

About the job : We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and oversee our on-prem & cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS and GCP cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in managing and maintaining complex IT environments. - Experience with Linux systems is highly desirable. Key Responsibility Areas : - Cloud Infrastructure Management - Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP platforms - Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud resources - Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization - Implement and maintain cloud security best practices - Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans System Administration : - Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers, network devices, and storage systems - Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues - Troubleshoot and resolve system and network problems - Implement and maintain system security measures Team Leadership : - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other IT staff - Collaborate within the IT Infra team & Software team to ensure seamless integration of systems - Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends - Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure and processes - Generate regular reports on system performance and capacity Preferred Qualifications : - Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems - Proven experience managing AWS and GCP cloud environments with relevant certifications (AWSCSA, GCCPCA) - Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols - Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware) - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Technical Skills : - Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure (any one or more) - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet - Working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.) - Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM - Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash - Experience with ITIL/ITSM methodologies - Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible - Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ref:hirist.tech)
