Senior System Engineer - MATLAB/Simulink

About the Role : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and reliability of our automotive systems. You will lead functional safety activities, conduct safety analyses, and develop safety requirements while also supporting the implementation and testing of UDS CAN communication protocols. Responsibilities : Functional Safety Leadership : - Lead all functional safety activities within the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards. - Conduct comprehensive safety analyses, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA). - Identify and document safety requirements for both hardware and software components. - Ensure alignment of all safety requirements with ISO 26262 and relevant automotive industry standards. UDS CAN Expertise : - Support the implementation and testing of Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) over CAN. - Ensure compliance with UDS diagnostic protocols, including error reporting and service-based communication. - Utilize CANoe for testing CAN communication protocols and verifying system and safety requirements. System Engineering & Modeling : - Utilize Enterprise Architect to model system architectures, requirements, and interfaces. - Lead the integration and configuration of DOORS and Enterprise Architect environments to ensure seamless requirement traceability. - Develop and maintain system-level documentation and specifications. Collaboration & Communication : - Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and test engineers. - Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges. Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 8 years of experience in automotive system engineering, with a strong focus on functional safety. - In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 and other relevant automotive safety standards. - Proven experience in conducting safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, HARA). - Strong understanding of UDS CAN protocols and diagnostic communication. - Proficiency in using system modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect. - Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS. - Hands-on experience with CANoe or similar vehicle communication analysis tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team. Desired Skills : - Experience with AUTOSAR architecture. - Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink. - Experience with scripting languages (Python, etc. - Experience with Agile development methodologies (ref:hirist.tech)
