MDM Engineer - Data Management

Key Responsibilities 1. Master Data Governance : - Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures for Vendor and Customer Master Data. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all systems and departments. - Monitor compliance with master data standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX). 2. Data Management and Maintenance : - Manage the creation, modification, and deactivation of vendor and customer master data records. - Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data. - Oversee maintenance of key attributes, including vendor/customer name, contact details, tax information, payment terms, and bank details. 3. Data Quality Management : - Monitor data quality metrics to maintain accuracy. - Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance data quality and reduce errors. - Lead data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment initiatives proactively. 4. Reporting and Analytics : - Generate regular reports on master data performance, highlighting trends and areas for improvement. - Analyze data trends to identify process optimization and cost-saving opportunities. 5. Training and Support : - Train business users on data management processes, best practices, and the importance of accurate master data. - Serve as the point of contact for inquiries or issues related to vendor or customer master data. 6. Compliance and Risk Management : - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. - Manage risks related to data integrity, including unauthorized changes or access. Skills and Qualifications : Experience : - 3-5 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, or a similar role focusing on vendor and customer master data. - Hands-on experience with enterprise data management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce). - Knowledge of data lifecycle management, data modeling, and data quality best practices. Technical Skills : - Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica, IBM InfoSphere). - Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and CRM systems. (ref:hirist.tech)
