Deputy Depot Driver Leam Leader

Exciting Opportunity We Have A New Position Available. Location: Crawley Job Type: Permanent Pay: £37k-£42k per annum WorkingHours: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking Deputy Depot Driver Team Leader. This is a leadership position where you will play a key role in ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods whilst maintaining high standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for leading a team of drivers. Team Leadership: Supporting the Depot Team Leader, supervising and motivating a team of drivers to meet performance targets and objectives. Supporting the scheduling of shifts and routes optimising efficiency. Operational Management: Competent using reporting tools such as Optimoroute, Fleetloc8, Checksafe and Brightpearl. Coordinating timely pickups and deliveries. Ensure products aren’t damaged in transit, that they’re packed safely and securely. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Providing KPI support on data entry on all agreed system sheets. Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer enquiries and concerns in a professional manner. You will assist the drivers unloading/load the vehicles each morning and be the last to leave, once all the other drivers are briefed with their loads and routes. Leading by example, delivering the goods to the customer, with a shortened route where reasonably practicable. Who You Are: Must hold a clean Driving License. Proven experience as a FLT operator and hold a current FLT operating certificate. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transport or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
