Job DescriptionAs a 9News/ Line Up Producer for Perth, you'll work in a fast-paced newsroom, responsible for gathering and crafting top-tier journalism content that informs, educates, and engages our audience. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring seamless broadcasts by managing both content creation and the show lineup. Acting as the final checkpoint, you’ll ensure everything meets our high standards before going to air. In addition to your content oversight, this role will also encompass lineup producer duties, requiring you to coordinate and finalise the order of segments for each broadcast. Day to day you will: Support the Executive Producer with the creation and delivery of audience-focused content. Develop content ideas, research, scripting and editing stories. Identify stories and angles which will resonate with viewers. Cross-checking material for accuracy and ensuring content is legally sound Communicate with on-air talent and the EP during the bulletin to address any issues in real time. Assist in rolling coverage of breaking news events and work in the control room environment to put broadcasts to air. Problem-solve any issues that arise during the news bulletin to maintain broadcast integrity. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. QualificationsWhat we would like: Relevant Degree in Journalism or control room experience Knowledge of news and current affairs. Experience in tv, radio or other news media. Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and broadcast-writing skills. Have a sound understanding of media and broadcast law. Familiarity with ENPS, Velocity edit systems or equivalent broadcast television software. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships Tenacity, ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
