We are looking for a SQL Developer with strong query-writing skills and a solid understanding of requirements to join our innovative team. Key Responsibilities : SQL Development : - Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries to support data analysis, reporting, and application development. - Create, maintain, and enhance stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. - Design efficient database structures, including tables, indexes, and relationships. Requirement Analysis : - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Ensure that database solutions meet functional and non-functional business requirements. Data Integration and ETL : - Develop and implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources. - Ensure data accuracy and consistency across databases and systems. Performance Tuning : - Monitor and improve database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques. - Analyze and resolve database-related issues, including slow queries and deadlocks. Database Maintenance and Support : - Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and patching. - Provide support for database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Collaboration : - Work closely with developers, data engineers, and project managers to deliver robust database solutions. - Assist in code reviews and provide recommendations for improvements. Documentation : - Create and maintain technical documentation, including database schemas, processes, and query logic. - Document requirements, designs, and user guides for database systems. Security and Compliance : - Implement database security measures to protect sensitive data. - Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards, including GDPR and data privacy regulations. Qualifications : Required : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3 years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role. - Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle. - Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization. - Experience with stored procedures, triggers, and performance optimization. - Familiarity with requirement gathering and translating business needs into technical solutions. Preferred : - Knowledge of cloud-based databases, such as Azure SQL Database. - Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Exposure to ETL tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factory. - Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
