Youth Support Worker

Empowering Learning require a Youth Support Worker to work 1-1 with a student in a SEN school in the Middlesbrough area. The role is 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8.00am-16.00pm but may become permanent for the right person. The school is very focused on supporting students on their learning journey. Hold an NVQ in Health and social care care or relevant qualification and experience Previous experience of supporting SEN students Be responsive, flexible and sensitive to the differing needs of pupils. Including those with SEND. To support a student with SEMH needs Experience of behaviours that challenge Be able to work 1-1 and with small groups Communicate effectively in a variety of situations Ability to de escalate situations Work flexibly with a commitment to continuity and quality of education. Be focused and driven to ensure that all children fulfil their potential.
