Milk Education are recruiting for a School Reading Buddy for a lovely Primary School in Liverpool (L15).This is a school, who prides itself on being an inspiring and nurturing environment and equips every child to make a positive contribution to their community. Tutoring experience is welcome This will be Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only. Could this be the role for you? Join our mission to Make Life Kind in the classroom and beyond… School Reading Buddy Role & Responsibilities: Work with children who may be struggling with reading, lack language skills or have little confidence Support pupils to apply comprehension strategies independently to reading tasks, contexts and subjects Plan and deliver 1-1 reading interventions suitable for primary aged children, accross all year groups, including SATS Reading interventions. Carefully select texts to match each student's reading level, these texts are used in targeted lessons where you will work with students to improve their comprehension skills School Reading Buddy Non-negotiables: Have a good grasp of written and spoken English An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding children Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. Experience working with children in the last 2 years either voluntarily or professionally (essential) Why choose Milk?
