Support Worker

Lycon is now hiring support workers for our client in the Worcestershire area. Day work and Night work is available for both weekdays and weekends. We are looking for support workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You'll need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love. This job will have you supporting young adults with a range of disabilities, assisting those with visual impairments and a wide range of other needs. - Responsibilities include: Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration. Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities Assisting the people you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for and attending any appointments Ensuring the people you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity and equality - Requirements: Previous support work experience A valid DBS The drive to want to help and support others
