Cad Engineer

CAD Engineer We are working with a sheet metal fabrication business who are seeking an experienced CAD engineer to join their growing team. With a large order book and regular contract renewels for bespoke fabrications - this is a great time to be joining this expanding business. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for developing new and existing products and be involved in a variety of mechanical design projects. You will work in close collaboration with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process. Essential requirements Use CAD software to create detailed design drawings and models Evaluate and analyse design concepts for feasibility, functionality and cost effectiveness Develop and implement production processed and workflows Collaborate with production teams to optimise manufacturing processes Select appropriate materials for product manufacturing based on their properties and cost-effectiveness Works with suppliers to source and procure materials for production Proactive on the shop floor with the use of our state-of-the-art machines Ensure that products comply with industry standards and regulations Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks would be advantageous Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials particularly laser cutting and sheet metal We have a positive, professional and welcoming environment; you will have the opportunity to work within a fully integrated multidisciplinary business.
