Manual machinist

Skiller manual machinist £14-16 an hour D.O.E Bristol based DK recruitment is looking for a strong manual machinist in Bristol for our new client. Our client is looking for someone with manual turning experience, some exposure to CNC would be a big advantage. Primary Responsibilities/Activities: Set up and operate conventional machine tools (centre lathe, capstan lathe, manual mill, pillar drill, etc) Perform shop calculations to determine optimum feeds and speeds Adhere to all quality and H&S standards (Our client is very strict on H&S) Background/Experience: Successfully completed apprenticeship (Advantage) CNC programming experience - Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak (advantage) Experience of working with a wide variety of materials (essential) Understanding of manufacturing protocols Knowledge of feeds and speeds Benefits: Fantastic pension Options for flexitime Options for overtime very available Yearly pay negotiations
