Refrigeration Engineer

Location: Harrow, Park Royal, Wembley, London We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Engineer to join our team, supporting a busy food production facility. This role involves a hands-on approach to the service, maintenance, and installation of refrigeration systems. You will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Service and Maintenance, Health and Safety, System Operation and Testing, Leak Detection, Mechanical Knowledge, Electrical Competence, Refrigerant Handling, Installations, Fabrication and Assembly, Repairs and Replacements, Customer Communication and Scheduling, Service Quotations, Teamwork and Professionalism, Reporting and Business Development, Time Management, Out-of-Hours Support Your profile and qualifications: Commercial Refrigeration experience – 5 years City & Guilds (2079) F GAS City & Guilds (2078) Ammonia Safe Handling Beneficial but not required C02, Hydrocarbon qualifications Ability to follow technical drawings, building plans, and other instructions Ability to work carefully, methodically and safely Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair refrigeration issues. Competent in basic electrical work. Skilled in brazing techniques. Experience in a busy food production facility is highly desirable. Ability to fabricate and assemble components using hand tools and power tools. Ability to produce service quotations and keep accurate service records. Experience in installing a wide range of refrigeration components Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
