Clerk of Works / Development Surveyor

Elevate projects are working in partnership with our client, a local provider of affordable housing and registered social landlord , to appoint an experienced Surveyor/Clerk of works to join their busy Development team. To undertake a Clerk of Works service for projects in contract, undertaking at least a weekly visit to sites, ensuring quality control, and reporting back on any issues with a suggested action plan. Undertake the pre-handover quality inspections and post-handover defects inspections. To work closely with other members of the team, partners, and contractors to progress developments to programme. Monitor works on site in accordance with all external and internal regulatory standards with a regard to build quality and Health & Safety. Deliver the snagging, de-snagging, and end of defects process, attending pre-contract meetings and reporting on anticipated build programme and consultant’s performance. Work alongside project managers and across other teams to ensure that the homes into management process happens effectively, giving particular focus to ensuring that all property handover information is received and kept up to date
