WelcomeToCognizant We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Junior Software Engineer We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Java, Python, and XML to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working on large-scale applications and automated processes. While we’re open to candidates from any industry, we’re not considering recent graduates for this role. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions. Work on large-scale applications and ensure efficient automation of processes. Analyze and solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies and actively contribute to sprint goals. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. Maintain and enhance software functionality, ensuring scalability and performance. Communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders in English. Requirements 2 years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in Java , Python , and working with XML . Experience with large-scale applications and automated processes. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments. Willingness to learn, adapt, and tackle challenging technological problems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively in English for operational purposes. Work Arrangement: Hybrid work model: 2 days per week from the office. Work hours: 08:00 to 17:00 (Mexico City Time) . Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in distributed teams. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools. Why Cognizant?
