Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Here at ZEN, We are seeking caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team. As an SEN TA, you will provide vital support to students with a wide range of special educational needs and profound learning difficulties. The role will involve working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning experiences that support each child’s unique needs and abilities. Responsibilites and Requirements Supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including profound learning difficulties, within the classroom. Have experience or a passion for working with children with SEN Be able to offer manual handling Be flexible, proactive and patient Be nurturing and caring in your approaches Be able to communicate effectively within a team Be open to providing personal care Have a Background in Education, Care, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable. Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. For example Makaton, PECS Working closely with the wider school team, including SENCOs and other professionals, to ensure the needs of students are met.
