Teacher of Music

Due to our continued success Progress Teachers are looking for a passionate Teacher of Music to work within a Secondary School in Coventry. As a Teacher of Music you will be expected play a crucial role in promoting a vibrant and inclusive musical environment, nurturing students' passion for music, and ensuring the department's success. Responsibilities: Designing and developing a comprehensive music lessons that aligns with educational standards and the school's goals. Ensure the lessons reflects a broad spectrum of musical genres and styles. Create an environment that fosters student interest, participation, and enthusiasm for music. Organise and support extracurricular music activities and clubs. Oversee the maintenance and acquisition of musical instruments and equipment. Collaborate with other school departments and administration to integrate music into the overall educational experience. Coordinate music-related events, such as concerts, recitals, and competitions. Engage with parents, the local community, and potential donors to promote and support the music program. Build partnerships with local music organisations and institutions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s (BA) or master’s degree in music education or a related field. Teaching certification and relevant licenses. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven experience in music education and curriculum development. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to inclusivity and diversity in music education. Proficiency in musical instruments and technology. Passion for music and a dedication to inspiring and motivating students
