Learning Support Functional Skills Tutor Location: Elephant and Castle | Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Are you passionate about empowering learners, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities, to achieve their goals? As a Learning Support Functional Skills Tutor, you'll deliver personalized support and help learners succeed in Functional Skills programs. You’ll work face-to-face within a 25-mile radius of SE1, providing one-to-one and group sessions, managing learning interventions, and collaborating with tutors and employers to optimize learner outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging Functional Skills and Learning Support sessions (face-to-face and online). Support learners to progress in line with their personalized plans. Use evidence-based teaching methods and innovative tools like Cognassist. Work with colleagues to boost learner engagement, retention, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with ESFA guidelines and internal quality standards. Essential Qualifications: Teaching qualification (or working towards). Proficiency in Maths and English (Level 3). Experience in delivering Functional Skills and Learning Support. Desirable: Degree in Education/Business or subject-specific qualifications. Assessor Award (e.g., CAVA, TAQA).
