Role Overview: As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning solutions for a wide range of projects. You will work closely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, providing expert advice and guiding projects through the planning process. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage planning applications, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Provide strategic planning advice to clients, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies. Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and representations. Conduct site assessments and prepare planning reports and statements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental consultants. Mentor and guide junior planners, offering support and advice to help develop their skills. Stay up to date with current planning legislation and policy changes.Essential Skills & Experience: A degree in Town Planning (or related field) and MRTPI (or working towards). Significant experience in a planning consultancy or local authority. In-depth knowledge of UK planning policies and procedures. Proven experience managing complex planning applications and projects. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
