About The Company: We are working with one of the North East’s most reliable and professional Electrical Building Services Contractors, offering a wide range of services across sectors such as Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, and Residential. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects to our growing list of clients. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with key colleagues to forecast levels of demand for services and products, ensuring timely procurement to meet business needs. Maintain a constant check on stock levels to optimise inventory management. Identify potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish strong working relationships. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing. Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure materials and services are procured in line with project requirements and timelines. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies in all procurement activities. Requirements: Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably within the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) sector. Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse market trends and make informed purchasing decisions. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
