Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Male Support Workers to join a Mental Health Service on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidates will work within a 2:1 care package, providing essential support to service users with a history of self-harm and challenging behaviours. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working with individuals with mental health challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are committed to providing high-quality care, ensuring service users are supported in a safe and therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct support to service users with a history of self-harm and challenging behaviours. Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to deliver person-centred care. Implement and monitor care plans and ensure the well-being of service users at all times. Support service users to engage in activities and develop life skills. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care activities. Promote independence and dignity for all service users. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role within mental health services. Experience in supporting individuals with self-harm and challenging behaviours. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Empathy, patience, and resilience in a challenging environment. Flexible and adaptable to different shift patterns, including early shifts, late shifts, long days, and waking night shifts.
