Total People, one of the UK's leading apprenticeship providers and part of LTE Group, now have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to come and join our Data and Funding, planning and Compliance team in the position of Exams Officer. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all processes for exams and certificate claims are in adherence with JCQ and AO guidelines, leading responsibility for the administration, organisation, and smooth running of Total People examinations in conjunction with sectors. This role is offered on a full time (37 hours per week) permanent basis, based at Northwich. As an Exams Officer working for Total People, we can guarantee variety, support, and a great company to work for You will be working primarily from our Northwich office with a supportive and experienced team, so help is always on hand. Some national travel may be involved to support with exams as and when required. The key responsibilities of this role are as follows: To support managing the effective and efficient management and administration of external examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations (on behalf of the JCQ member awarding bodies ) and/or awarding body rules for exams administration in a consistent and secure fashion, thereby helping to maintain the integrity and security of the assessment process. To provide support, advice, and guidance to the head of centre/senior leadership team in ensuring that the centre is compliant with the JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements in order to ensure the security and integrity of the examinations/assessments at all times. To support the completion of the Exams Officer Professional Standards on annual basis by ensuring a thorough knowledge and understanding of JCQ and awarding body regulations and processes. To closely liaise with key stakeholders (external and internal) to ensure exams administration processes are strictly followed. To understand JCQ and awarding body key dates and deadlines and to support the development and implementation of robust procedures to ensure these are met. To ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with the regulations by liaising with sector and programme leads.Please see the attached job description for full details. Ability to problem solve, innovate plan, organise, overcome barriers, and implement solutions effectively. Thinks ahead to anticipate obstacles and plans ways round them. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.And if you meet the following desirable criteria even better: Customer Service Level 3. Business Administration Level 3. Prior experience of working with awarding organisations and other similar organisations. Prior experience of working in work-based learning.
