Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Zenith People are collaborating with our client to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Technical Team on a permanent basis. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage your own projects confidently. Main Duties & Responsibilities: • Take a hands-on approach to mechanical design tasks. • Manage and oversee your own projects from conception to completion. • Confidently express and communicate your design ideas. • Be familiar with all aspects of the R&D function, including CAD design, documentation, testing and building prototypes, and setting up test strategies. Skills & Experience Required: • Proficiency in CAD, with a preference for Pro Engineer. • Ability to analyze technical opportunities and problems effectively. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. • Previous experience in writing detailed technical reports. • Competence in analyzing data to inform design decisions. • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer. • Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative engineering solutions.
