Mechanical Estimator

My client is currently looking for a mechanical estimator to join their team in the North East The ideal candidate must be experienced in estimating mechanical projects, with a strong background in piping, structural fabrication, and installation. This role will require proficiency in PEX estimating for projects up to £25 million. Mechanical Estimator Key Responsibilities: Review and assess project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems. Prepare detailed estimates for piping, structural fabrication, and installation projects. Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimation. Assess risks, budget implications, and timelines for mechanical aspects of the projects. Analyze project scope and specifications to provide detailed take-offs. Assist with the preparation of bids and proposals for mechanical works, ensuring compliance with all technical and contractual requirements. Mechanical Estimator Key Requirements: At least 5 years experience as a mechanical estimator Expertise in piping, structural fabrication, and installation. Strong experience in PEX estimating on projects valued up to £25 million. Familiarity with industry-specific estimating software and tools. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. For this role a valid driving lisence is required
