In this key role, you’ll provide financial insights, align reporting with strategic goals, and collaborate across departments to enhance business performance. With a focus on enabling informed decisions and supporting operational improvements, you’ll play a pivotal role in meeting financial and business targets. The role reports to the Senior Business Partner and is responsible for business partnering with stakeholders across the Southern suburbs and regions of Sydney including Malabar, Jannali, Woonona, and Nowra. About the Role The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the finance and operational teams within Residential Cares. Their main purposes include providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning, linking financial reports to business strategies to improve the impact of financial reporting on business performance, and working closely with different departments to understand their financial needs and challenges, helping them make informed decisions. Additionally, they initiate and support commercial and operational changes to ensure key financial and business targets are met. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis and Reporting: Work with Residential Care Managers to improve efficiency, pricing, and cost control through accurate financial analysis and reporting. Oversee month-end and year-end processes, produce timely KPI and variance reports, and drive system improvements to support informed decision-making and performance tracking. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of robust budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely monthly P&L forecasts for senior management, the F&R Committee, and the Board. Contribute to the annual budget and strategy process by providing well-informed input, engaging stakeholders, and considering key factors. Benchmarking and external reporting: Participate in benchmarking and external financial reporting processes by compiling data submissions and providing detailed, actionable recommendations. Process improvement and team development: Support business performance by developing and maintaining tools and benchmarks focused on KPIs, contributing to decision-making through analysis and advice on growth projects, fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment, and promoting a strong safety culture through compliance, consultation, and active participation in safety initiatives. Key Skills Proven ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams, fostering alignment between finance and non-finance functions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex financial data effectively to diverse stakeholders. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in identifying trends and delivering actionable insights. Skilled in forecasting financial performance, assessing strategic decisions, and supporting business planning. Advanced proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Qualifications and Experience Recognised accounting degree qualified and member of accounting professional body (e.g. CPA, CA) Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting role, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in budgeting, forecasting and management accounting Why Join Anglicare?
