Wellbeing support focuses on veteran homelessness, financial hardship and, in some cases, complex case management. In this role you will undertake the day-to-day responsibility of team management along with representing and promoting Service Delivery with the veteran community. Your ability to engage, lead and support RSL Queensland Wellbeing Advocates will result in first class wellbeing services being delivered to the veteran community and their families. This role reports to the Senior Wellbeing Officer and is an 11 month, fixed-term contract, based in our Brisbane office in Fortitude Valley. About you: As a Wellbeing Team Leader with RSL Queensland, no one workday is ever the same. You will be a clinician with a background in nursing or social work and experience in transformational leadership and managing a team through change. You will be using your management experience and clinical skills to develop our Wellbeing services in line with quality and accreditation standards. As your team will be geographically dispersed, local and intra-State travel will be a necessary element of your role. You will possess: A degree in Human Services or Health Sciences or an equivalent ( essential ). This role would be well suited to a social worker or counsellor (but is not a clinical role) 2 to 3 years experience as a team leader Demonstrated high level of professionalism, organisational compliance, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead and motivate staff to achieve high quality outcomes and build strong work culture and engagement. Ability to demonstrate empathy (essential) when working in highly sensitive environments and situations Extensive knowledge of and experience in person-centred and strength-based case management. Effective communication and interpersonal skills . Sound time management skills and a proven ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to foster mutually beneficial professional relationships and outcomes. Commitment to work within legislative and budget parameters. An understanding of the ADF environment and its unique sensitivities would be highly regarded. Flexibility to work across and within broad geographical areas. Ability to travel when required.
