The Role Port Phillip Retirement Village, located in Altona is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused Driver to drive our 12- Seater Minibus on a Permanent Part-time basis. In this role you will provide safe transportation of our Village residents to and from the local shopping centres and occasionally events. You will also perform other ad-hoc duties as required, such as basic maintenance or cleaning around the property, booking vehicle maintenance and general adhoc tasks around the village where required. The Shifts: Permanent part time Tuesday 9AM-3PM Thursday 9AM- 3PM About you As you will be working alongside our many residents, a customer-service focus is essential, as will: A Full Drivers Licence (Car license is acceptable) Experience driving a 12 seater minibus – highly desirable People transportation experience – highly desirable Eagerness to work with elderly people, and the awareness of mobility/health and safety issues that may occur, highly desirable Team-focused, with willingness to perform other ad-hoc duties when required. Ability to identify when minibus requires maintenance A genuine interest in assisting the elderly Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
