Are you an experienced sustainability professional with passion for providing expert advice to implement key programs and projects that champion and contribute to increasing Sunwater’s sustainability? Come and join Sunwater as our Sustainability Lead – Climate Change for a fixed term 12-month contract. In this role, reporting directly to the Sustainability Manager, you will:- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align outcomes with our sustainability strategy and facilitate sustainability engagement. Contribute to and support programme management and governance for climate risk management and sustainability projects. Provide expert technical advice on climate risk management & reporting, general sustainability activities, manage the external climate disclosure assurance process and report on industry developments and changes in best practice. Lead the work of consultants and contractors to deliver agreed outcomes on budget, quality and time. Lead the preparation of climate risk and opportunity assessments, climate adaption strategies, climate scenario analysis, and preparation of external climate disclosures. We are seeking a professional with 10 years relevant experience in a complex organisation with extensive sustainability/environmental experience in a corporate/government environment. You will have a Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science or other relevant discipline and demonstrated experience at a service provider, client-side organisation or within a consulting organisation. You will be familiar with the development of sustainability and climate related targets and have a high level of written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear and logical manner. In addition, you will be: Technical – ability to provide advanced analysis of legislation, identification of risks and gaps and conversion into policy and procedure to ensure compliance. Innovative – ability to think innovatively and adapt as necessary to resolve issues and ensure the achievement of project objectives and the management of project risks and opportunities. Commercial – well-developed commercial thinking and acumen, with a highly developed sense of confidence to make the right decisions. This 12-month fixed term full-time opportunity is available for an immediate.
