The Role As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will: Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify underlying causes of behaviours of concern. Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans tailored to participants’ individual needs and goals. Provide training and guidance to families, carers, and support staff on implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans, ensuring alignment with NDIS requirements and participant goals. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic and evidence-based support. Ensure compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s requirements for restrictive practices (if applicable). About You You are a compassionate and solutions-focused professional with a commitment to supporting people with disabilities. You have: Qualifications : Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, disability, or a related field. Experience : Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing behaviour support plans in line with NDIS guidelines. Knowledge : A strong understanding of positive behaviour support principles and restrictive practices regulations. Skills : Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Compliance : Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and a valid driver’s license.
