Job Description
Psychology Aide Psychology team, supporting our Registered and Provisional Psychologists. This is a casual role and will provide you with an amazing opportunity to grow with the organisation. The purpose of this role is to deliver literacy and numeracy standardised assessments in partner schools; to provide support to our psychologists/ provisional psychologists in delivering evidence-based group programs; and to provide reading and numeracy self-esteem evidenced based support to children in primary schools. The position will provide high quality and evidence-based services that have the greatest impact on outcomes for children and contribute to breaking the cycle of disadvantage for children struggling to learn. The location of the role is predominately in our partner schools around Sydney. Opportunities to travel interstate are also available. Day to day you will be: Delivering and scoring literacy and numeracy standardised assessments in schools. Providing support to psychologists/ provisional psychologists in delivering evidence-based group programs to children. Delivering our evidenced based programs called "Reading for Life" & "Counting for Life’" to primary school children in schools over 10 to 15 weeks. Why is Learning Links right for you? About you Psychology degree (in or about to commence 4th year of sequence). A demonstrated ability to work with a high level of professionalism, empathy, confidentiality and enthusiasm. Advanced communication, multi-tasking, troubleshooting, time management and prioritisation skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as a member of a team. Willingness to travel with a current driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle. Ability to undertake regular travel across NSW and/or interstate (if required) Current Working with Children Check or happy to obtain one. Proficient computer skills and access to a laptop computer with internet Commitment to working in partnership with families and other professionals.
