The key duties of the position include: What you will do as an Assistant Director As an Assistant Director, you will undertake a range of responsibilities, including: Leading a team of professionals, role modelling our leadership behaviours, supporting a professional and collaborative working environment, coaching, giving continuous feedback, resolving conflict and facilitating career development. Developing clear and defined work plans and timeframes for self and team in the context of business priorities. Marshalling expertise from legal and technical experts, including briefing and liaising with internal and external legal advisers and ICT professionals. Drafting and reviewing complex documentation, including external facing guidance, internal papers, briefings. About you In order to succeed in the role, you will have: demonstrated experience leading an investigative, service delivery or compliance team, or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation the ability to achieve results, with experience planning and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, to achieve timely outcomes the ability to apply critical thinking and analysis skills to draw accurate conclusions and support evidence-based decision making strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and concisely the ability to proactively and effectively engage with stakeholders, including to influence, persuade and negotiate and to build effective professional relationships relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven work experience in relevant fields will be well regarded. The ACCC works to promote effective competition and fair trading in the market place to benefit consumers, business and the community, and efficiency in the delivery of certain infrastructure services. The AER is a part of the ACCC. The AER is Australia's national energy market regulator and has an independent board. The AER shares employees, resources and facilities with the ACCC.
