Job Description
The key duties of the position include: The Role The right candidate for these roles will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where they can work independently to help deliver Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) missions. To be successful in these roles you are outcome-focused with a high level of attention to detail and be able to engage constructively and provide assistance to a range of critical stakeholders. Demonstrated experience with managing competing priorities and exceptional time management skills are a must. Administration officer roles vary depending on the particular requirements, you could expect to take on a broad range of tasks including: Providing executive support; Coordinating the flow of tasks and information across the Branch; Ensuring sound Branch records and information management; Ability to coordinate tasking’s; Assisting in collating briefing and committee packs; Providing secretariat support; Handling Branch human resource requisitions; Administering Branch security requirements; and Implementing sound corporate governance. Our Ideal Candidate Headquarters Joint Operations Command is a fast paced and dynamic working environment. We are seeking energetic and collaborative people to join the team. You will need to be highly organised, with highly developed communication skills (written and verbal) and be adept at working within a high-paced team environment. You will thrive under pressure and have the ability to work in peak periods, and other instances as required. We are looking for individuals with exceptional organisational skills, able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail and possesses well-developed organisational and priority-management skills. To be successful in this role you will need to: Use your initiative and solve problems; Complete tasks, plan, and coordinate business priorities; Successfully develop and implement Branch administrative procedures; Work collaboratively in a team-based environment; Actively participating in, and contributing to, team and organisational objectives; Be an excellent communicator who can liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders; Experience in providing secretariat support coordinating briefing packs, writing minutes and supporting the coordination across the Command; Be self-motivated, pro-active, organised, and enjoy being part of a team; and Have good judgement. Eligibility Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 2”.
