We are looking for a dedicated Senior HSE Advisor to join our dynamic HSE Shutdown & Implementation Team in Perth. This Perth-based role involves travel as needed to support SD&I planning and execution. This role plays a key part in the successful execution of both onshore and offshore shutdowns and implementation scopes, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance. As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will have the opportunity to lead, mentor, and collaborate across teams to drive safety excellence and innovation, making a significant impact on the success of critical projects in a challenging yet rewarding environment. Key responsibilities: In this role you will: Lead and Support: Provide on-site HSE direction and support during shutdown and implementation activities, including audits, inspections, and campaigns. Ensure Compliance: Maintain alignment with company HSE requirements, regulatory obligations, and Environment Plans throughout the project lifecycle. Plan and Manage: Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans for shutdown and implementation activities, ensuring smooth execution. Coordinate Contracts: Oversee the HSE aspects of contracts from tendering to completion, ensuring contractor performance and compliance. Drive Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance HSE performance, foster a culture of safety, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation. Foster Collaboration: Interface between onshore, offshore, and leadership teams, driving effective communication and teamwork across all levels. What we’re looking for: The ideal candidate will bring: Qualifications: Tertiary-level qualification in HSE or a related discipline. Experience: Proven track record in HSE advisory roles, with extensive exposure to shutdowns and oil & gas operations (onshore and offshore) preferred. Inspection, maintenance and repair and subsea experience desirable. Expertise: Competence in incident investigation (TapRoot and Human Factors experience desirable). Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian safety and environmental regulations, ALARP principles, and duty of care obligations. Skills: Excellent communication, action-oriented mindset, and a structured, practical approach to problem-solving.
