Job description: Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Divisional Director. to join Northern Health. About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role: This Divisional Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and in partnership with the Divisional Director, Medical and the Director of Operations contributes to the overall leadership and management of the service. This senior leadership position requires a combination of strategic vision, operational excellence, and leadership skills to ensure the division's success and alignment with the overall organisational goals. The Divisional Director The Medicine and Cancer Services Division comprises of: Northern Hospital Medical Inpatient Wards Palliative Care Day Oncology Infusion Centre Haematology Oncology Renal Dialysis Services Broadmeadows Hospital Medical Ward Unit 1 To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of managing large budgets, financial forecasting, and cost optimisation. Proven ability to lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary team to achieve ambitious goals. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including board members and executive teams. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing division-wide strategies aligned with organisational goals. Well-developed problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable and impactful solutions. A proactive and forward-thinking mindset that embraces innovation and continuous improvement. Ability to drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Proven ability to navigate complex challenges, manage crises, and lead teams through periods of change. Next Steps . . .
