Job Description

THE ROLE The Property Transaction Officer is responsible for the successful implementation of acquisition and divestment strategies of land owned, controlled, or managed by Homes Victoria or the Secretary of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. The role supports the team in the identification, assessment and acquisition of new dwellings, which include the high priority Tower Relocations program through collaboration with a range of stakeholders. The role involves purchasing, leasing and managing the transaction process, including completion of all administrative functions associated with the transaction and settlement of a property. As the successful applicant, your responsibilities will include: Identifying properties suitable for acquisition, including bulk and off the plan purchases Undertake property inspections to identify property condition and suitability Build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders Adhere to Government administration and procurement requirements ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Support the broader acquisition programs, which includes active sourcing of suitable properties for acquisition. Assist in the preparation and presentation of property specific reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions.
