Full time Commencing asap Mornington Peninsula Located on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, Woodleigh School is an independent, coeducational school comprising two Junior Campuses, Minimbah in Frankston South and Penbank in Moorooduc and a Senior Campus in Langwarrin South. Woodleigh is currently seeking applications for a Head of Learning Enhancement based at our Senior Campus in Langwarrin South. The key responsibility of the Head of Learning Enhancement is to lead the development of learning strategies & programs that enhance academic performance and ensure growth for each student. Working cooperatively & collaboratively with students, staff & parents, the Head of Learning Enhancement facilitates a culture of personalised learning across the school community & promotes differentiated pathways for students with specific, identified needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead and manage the Learning Enhancement Team Collaborate with Coordinators of Learning Enhancement (Minimbah & Penbank campuses) to ensure a cohesive school wide support of students with special needs (gifted, EAL & SLD) Attend Yr 6 transition meetings to facilitate a seamless transition in support Develop professional learning opportunities for staff Support the Teaching and Learning team with analysis of Edutest & Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT) data Respond to parents / teacher academic concern & where appropriate, administer standardised assessments to determine levels of adjustment (if any) Lead the creation of learning management documentation (personalised learning documentation) by the team, based upon data & specialist reports & recommendations Manage the annual Learning Enhancement budget, assets and resources; Prioritise student need & allocate staffing & resources according to need Report to the Campus Leadership Team (CLT) / WEL Group on the Learning Enhancement programme and student achievement Manage the annual NCCD reporting process Facilitate application process for NAPLAN exemptions Selection Criteria: The Head of Learning Enhancement needs to: be a highly organised and efficient administrator be a capable, fluent and empathetic communicator be focused on the desire to meet the individual learning needs of every student regardless of their ability have the desire and ability to work collaboratively with a team of staff in order to meet student needs be skilled at providing innovative and purposeful individual learning experiences be willing to keep up with latest research in this field be flexible with shifting priorities Education and Qualifications: Appropriate tertiary qualification in Education. Desirable: Post graduate qualification in Special Education and/or Challenge Conditions of Employment Current VIT registration is required for this position.
