Supervisor Visitor Centre Temporary Part-time (14 hrs per week) until February 2026 opportunity Office location – Sea Acres Rainforest Centre, Port Macquarie - Pacific Drive Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $97,027 to $107,059 pro rata plus employer’s contribution to superannuation Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW? About the role National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Supervisor Visitor Centre to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage. This role is all about delivering outstanding customer service while leading a cohesive, high-performing team in an incredible natural setting. Key responsibilities include supporting your team in managing inquiries, overseeing retail operations, and ensuring financial sustainability, as well as enhancing customer experiences through thoughtful merchandising, product development, and service delivery. You'll guide and support a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and implement strategies to optimise revenue and improve operations. With a focus on maintaining safe, functional, and welcoming facilities, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in an inspiring location. About You To thrive in this role, you’ll bring experience in managing visitor services and retail operations, with a focus on promoting the unique natural and cultural heritage of the area. You’ll have a strong background in retail systems for managing stock, security, and financial performance, paired with the ability to create meaningful and engaging visitor experiences. Equally important are your leadership and people skills, enabling you to inspire a cohesive, high-performing team dedicated to outstanding customer service. With strong communication and problem-solving abilities, you’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to make a positive impact in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Essential Requirements Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and promote visitor services and an information and retail outlet. Relevant knowledge and the ability to inform visitors of the natural and cultural heritage values of the conservation reserves and the visitor services and facilities that are available. Demonstrated ability to use retail management systems to monitor and report on financial performance, stock control and security. This role requires a Current Australian Drivers Licence and a Current Working with Children check.
