Who We Are The Brickman is a highly skilled team of LEGO® brick model builders and craftspeople, led by one of the world’s leading LEGO brick artists and only LEGO Certified Professional (LCP) in the southern hemisphere, Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught. Ryan and The Brickman team have built some of the largest and most detailed LEGO brick models in the world. With a growing portfolio of work, eight globally touring exhibitions and hundreds of models in museums, galleries, and shopping locations worldwide; there really isn’t anything The Brickman team can’t make out of LEGO bricks. The Role We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity and creative direction of The Brickman brand portfolio. You will lead the development of impactful design solutions and help mentor junior team members while collaborating closely with the Brand Manager / Head of Brand to drive high-quality results. Key Responsibilities · Creative Leadership: Provide creative leadership to the Brand Team, guiding their work to align with brand strategy. · Brand Development & Guidelines: Lead the development of branding guidelines, and provide creative consult, expertise and advice on the consistent application of brand style-guide and creative template usage. · Creative Concept & Execution: Develop and execute creative design solutions across various media, including marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and print materials. · Content Strategy & Production: Collaborate closely with the ‘Content Creator (Photographer/Videographer)’ to schedule and produce high-quality visual content. · Project Management & Coordination: Liaise with external stakeholders for printing quotes, design, and production. · Brand Activation & Representation: Support brand activations, such as Brickvention, partner pop-ups, and exhibition launches. · Brand Stewardship: Uphold the LEGO and The Brickman brand values. · Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members through the creative process. This position is predominantly on-site, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with our creative team and immerse yourself in The Brickman's unique environment. Skills & Experience · Graphic Design or Design related tertiary qualification · Australian Citizenship · Must hold current passport and Working with Children Check. · 5 years’ experience in leading / mentoring creative talent · Working within a collaborative team environment · Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities. · Exceptional knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite with proven experience. · Proficiency in MS Office and creating document templates. · Creative experience with social media platforms. · Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills. · Strong project management and organisational skills · Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. · Studio & event photography/videography experience. · Ability to identify and share business process improvements.
