About the role We are currently recruiting a Water Treatment Operator, to join our Water Supply and Quality department. This role will be based out of Broken Hill, NSW. You will be required to work various levels of shift work including weekends to ensure 24 x 7 coverage of the Mica St and Menindee Water Treatment Plants. The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the operational tasks associated with ensuring the safety and the quality of drinking water for Essential Water's customers through monitoring and controlling the water treatment process. Key responsibilities Water Treatment Plant operation and maintenance Water sampling, analysis, recording and reporting Operation of Pumping Stations and Pipelines and Reservoirs Monitoring and adjustment of plant and equipment Corrective action associated with plant processes and equipment Demonstrate that OH&S standards are being met Undertaking operational duties as directed About You You must be a person looking to be part of a team, have a "can do" attitude, eager to learn and bring a positive, solution focused manner to role. The successful applicant will undertake training towards gaining a Certificate 3 in Water Operations or similar relevant qualifications and/or experience applicable to the role at the required qualification level. NSW Fluoride Plant Operator is desirable, or you must be prepared to undertake training.
