We are currently looking for a Catering Prep Chef to join our team on a casual basis. If you have strong food preparation skills and enjoy working in a collaborative kitchen environment, this role could be the perfect fit for you About the Role: This role involves day-to-day mise en place, supporting the kitchen team with the preparation of ingredients for large-scale catering operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform mise en place tasks, including chopping, portioning, and preparing ingredients. Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards. Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules. Maintain a clean and organised workspace in line with food safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a prep chef or similar role. Strong knife skills and a good understanding of food preparation techniques. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints. A team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Working Hours and Pay: Monday to Friday, 2 PM – 10:30 PM. Casual classification under the Hospitality Award, with an hourly rate of $31.23 .
