Apply now Job no: 566654 Work type: Full-time Location: Melbourne - Burwood Categories: Technical Based at our Melbourne, Burwood CampusFull time and fixed term until 24/12/25HEW 7 $101,858 - $112,156 17% Superannuation The Role The Audio Visual Engineer manages the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the University’s extensive and complex audio visual (AV) infrastructure and environment. Working within the Audio-Visual Services team, the role supports staff and students in the use of classroom technology, event spaces, and infrastructure and provides technical expertise and advice for events, seminars, and conferences. The Audio Visual Engineer uses detailed knowledge of sophisticated AV systems and protocols to contribute to the design and implementation of technical solutions. As An Audio Visual Engineer, You Will Ensure the quality of installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware, operating systems and software including software updates, firmware updates, and security patches to operating systems.Provide high quality support in fault resolution and service request provisioning.Ensure AV service is operating at optimum levels, and any failures are corrected, including troubleshooting, diagnosis and remedy of faults.Contribute to the AV lifecycle refresh programs and building projects when assigned as a project resource.Maximize AV performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network and system outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with senior leaders on service optimisation.
